  • Alison is a representative on the Gisborne Chamber of Commerce.

Þ Another area that Alison has excelled is her role as Co-ordinator of the Young Enterprise Scheme in the Gisborne District, a role she has held for five years.

Þ She considers that the YES programme is amazing as it teaches business acumen to young students giving them a better understanding of how business works requiring them to constantly think outside the square.

Joined in 1996 believing that it would be a dynamic gathering of women and wasn’t disappointed meeting motivated business women

Attended 6 conferences and feels conference is a must for everyone

YoungBPW is a particular passion of Alison’s and she believes they are the stars of tomorrow

In 2007 Alison worked with Gisborne’s young BPW convenor to plan the hugely successful Women in Business Expo using her networks to support Rachael in many aspects of organising.

  • At National level:

National Project committee for 3 years

she found the judging of the awards particularly interesting because it provided a real understanding of what other clubs were doing.

  • In 2006 she received a certificate of merit in the Daphne Chapman Awards and in 2007 received the Daphne Chapman Award.
