Pauline’s work career was varied and began as a:

  • School teacher
  • Qualified as a Nurse
  • Became a Child Welfare Officer in the Department of Education

Pauline Cooper –  Her Story:

  • As a member of BPW Gisborne:

Became club President  in her third year as a club member

Was awarded a Life Membership, an honour bestowed on her for her contributions to the life of BPW, both locally and nationally

1967 Pauline & Dorothy Ritchie (another former National President) presented the “beautiful silver ‘Chain of Office’”, which is still worn by the Gisborne Club President’s   today

Has been an amazing role model and mentor to Presidents and members both past and present

At 83 years of age Pauline still attends club nights whenever possible
